About Nicola Hebert

Nicola Hebert has been designing websites for about eleven years now and still loves it. She enjoy reading about new trends and design concepts. One of her favorite sources of information is Smashing Magazine. This is one of the few industries that is constantly changing and challenging designers to improve and do better.

Nicola started out building websites for fun while she was still in the military. She was honorably discharged in 2002 and enrolled in ECPI College of Technology, earning herself an associate degree in Web Development.

After graduating, the college hired her to work in their online department developing courses with subject matter experts. It included such projects as interactive flash lectures, student portals, etc.. She also served as project manager for the designers that were brought on board after her. She oversaw the quality assurance checks of all the courses, interactive lectures and anything else that was needed.

In 2005 she relocated to Florida and spent some time doing freelance. Improving her skills a great deal. The challenges were much more demanding and the projects changed regularly.

After settling in to the sunshine state she began working for a marketing company out of Gulf Breeze, Florida. She was able to assemble and lead a graphics/web team of 5 for about 2 years and loved every minute of it. The company became so successful it was bought out and she found herself back into the world of freelance.

Now she is an integral part of Oogly Eyes Designs!
